Streetsaw Rocksaw: Best Off-Road Hoverboard This Side of the Mississippi

Obviously the title suggests that this board is one of the best, but of course, we recommend that you do as much research as possible before you decide which board to buy, as well as where to buy an off-road hoverboard. What is the difference between regular hoverboards and off-road ones?

Off road boards are specially built to handle harsher terrain than regular boards. They have larger wheels with more aggressive treads, which makes them perfect for even the most demanding terrain. They may not be as agile, but they can certainly be a lot more fun. Here are some examples of terrain the Rocksaw can handle:

  • Dirt Paths
  • Deep Grass
  • Sandy Beaches
  • Steep Inclines
  • Bumpy Pavement
  • Snowy Roads
  • Hiking Paths

How do they work?

Hoverboards (self-balancing boards, whatever you want to call them) use sensors to detect when the rider leans in a particular direction, helping you to get from A-B effectively. The electric motors spin the wheels to move in that direction, and the change in direction is usually seamless.

Riding one can be a bit tricky at first. You don’t need to move much to get the board to where you want it to go. That’s why it looks so cool, and riding one is a lot of fun! Effectively, this is the same technology that the Segway uses – but without a handlebar.

The Good

You can’t deny that there’s a whole lot of good when it comes to this hoverboard. Listening to your music while you ride your board will give you such a cool experience, and you can go out on it whether rain or shine. Let’s break down just a few of the best points of the Streetsaw Rocksaw:

  • Bluetooth connectivity sets it apart from other boards – listen to your music as you ride!
  • Adjust between 3 different speed modes. Find the best one to suit you.
  • UL Certified Battery (Won’t blow up on you)
  • Easy to maneuver through dirt, grass, and other terrains – even sand and snow.
  • Easy on the go transportation.
  • Just 2-3 hours for a full charge.
  • A sleek, cool design.
  • 5 hours of continuous hoverboard fun.
  • Can take you where other boards can’t take you. Go on an adventure!

The Bad

Just as with any piece of expensive technology, there are a few ‘bad’ points to consider. Nothing serious, and some of them can easily be justified when you look at the pros. However, you should still be aware of them before you make up your mind. Let’s take a look:

  • Expensive compared to other hoverboards.
  • Heavier than other boards – 32 pounds.
  • Bulkier than other boards – can be a bit of a bumpier ride because of the larger tires.
  • Not the fastest board on the market – 9 mph

This hoverboard is in the more expensive range of boards, but the price is easily justified. It just depends on your budget. The board is heavy and bulky, but using it certainly, makes up for that. It doesn’t go quite as fast as some of the other boards out there either, but you’ll hardly be able to tell when you’re cruising through different terrain.

Durability

This hoverboard is very well built and durable overall, not to mention reliable. Things like barbed wire and glass shards are no match for the tires, so you don’t need to worry about stuff like this getting in your way.  Handling the unexpected is the primary focus of this hoverboard, so you can focus on having fun.

Value for Money

You can see for yourself that you get extreme value with this product. Yes, it’s pricier, but for the durability and all of the features, you’re making a great investment. You could buy a cheaper board, but it probably won’t last and definitely won’t be as high in quality.

Some manufacturers and companies are using cheap parts, batteries, etc. and selling them at discounted rates. Don’t fall for their marketing or you might end up with a dud!
