Many of you have already seen a self balancing scooter before. Some of you might even own one yourself. But for those who have no clue how they work, today we are going to take a deeper look at what these amazing new scooters can do. Let’s get started!
So, How Do Self Balancing Scooters Work?
Like something out of a science fiction movie, self balancing scooters look very futuristic. But they work on a very simple platform.
Once you get the hang of how to handle a self balancing scooter, you can operate it with ease. First you are going to have to master the art of starting and stopping. So to start the scooter up and make it go forward, you are going to have to lean. By leaning forward with your body just slightly, you will make the scooter slowing move forward.
The more you lean forward the faster you will go. For safety reasons make sure to start out very slow, when you are trying to learn how to ride. You would not want to end up face down on the ground, because you took it too fast.
After you have learned how to properly start the scooter, you are going to need to know how to stop it.
This is where many people make a mistake. To stop your scooter you are going to have to carefully lean backwards. By moving backwards too fast, you may be thrown off, so do this very slowly. Once you have learned how to stop your scooter, you can now start to master the art of speed.
When driving your electric self balancing scooter around the neighborhood or around the park, you are going to have to look out for obstacles. If you are driving too fast and you stop too quickly, you may become injured from being thrown off the scooter. So remember to always drive the appropriate speed, while out in public.
Also, just like with a regular scooter you are going to need to wear a helmet for your safety. In some cities and towns you can even be fined for not wearing one. There are also speed limits in many of the parks around the country, so make sure to strictly follow the posted speed limits, to keep everyone safe.
Self Balancing Scooters Work Much Like The Human Body
Self-balancing scooters contain a central processing unit or CPU, that acts like a human brain.
This CPU translates information, that is sent by microprocessors located in various areas of the scooter. These microprocessors work very similarly to a humans inner ear. We all know that our inner ear is what keeps up for falling on our face, when we stand up and try to walk.
The inner ear contains fluid that shifts when we move and sends signals to the brain, telling it that we are in motion. So the microprocessors do the same job as the inner ear and help keep the scooter balanced, while it is in motion. This is very neat technology that has taken the world by storm.
